Stand with Ukraine | March 2022
Smithsonian Archive

I created this poster in March 2022 to protest at the White House against the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. Shortly after, I collaborated with Backbone Campaign to project the image on the National Museum of Art and the Russian Embassy. The poster was collected by the Smithsonian Institution and is now archived as an official artifact.

Inspired by Ukrainian vyshyvanka traditional folk dress and French protest posters from the 1960s, the image is a digital drawing that prominently features Ukraine’s national flower, the sunflower.
