Throughout history, art, and folklore, violets have represented life and fertility, death and remembrance—a striking contrast of joy v. grief, beginning v. end, and future v. memory.

I designed the Black Violet Tarot deck as I became a mother while losing her own mother to cancer, and it reflects this idea of bittersweet dualities—of shining a light in times of darkness.

78 black and white, silver-edged cards with a women-led take on Rider-Waite-Smith, this deck is meant to help you reflect on any aspect of life—joyful or painful, meaningful or mundane—to tap into your creativity and artistic voice.
